Edis.at - Isle of Man - OpenVZ/KVM - starting from 1.45 € / month- 128 MB / 2GB HDD

Disclaimer:

I am in no way affiliated with Edis.at but I have been a customer of theirs for around 1month. This server was benchmarked and reviewed whilst it was not in production. Therefore it should be noted that the below results are of a server currently being not used.

 Introduction:

Edis.at is offering 6 different types of OpenVZ and KVM based Virtual Private Servers at 17 different locations.
The cheapest server "VRS micro" costs 1.45 € per month (you have to pay it annually)  and is offering:
  •     2 GB HDD
  •     128 MB RAM
  •     100Mbit or 1Gbit
  •     500 GB transfer
  •     full root
  •     SolusVM
I bought the server "KVM Smart" with 256 MB RAM , 1TB Traffic and 5GB HDD at Isle of Man (real offshore, yeah!).

First Start & Support & Communication

You buy the server by the well known WHMCS platform and you will get the login information immediately. You can also install Windows 2008/2012 server if you don't like windows.
You can reinstall the system at any time at: https://manage.edis.at/vps/

Control Panel of Edis.at VPS
I contacted the support hotline in order to get my password for the control panel. The support was very nice and helpful. I can recommend it at any time. :) I like it very too as well, that you have VNC access for the KVM based VPS's

The results are average for a 100MBit Line, the upload seems to be quite good. Don't forget the test was made from Isle of Man. Other locations of EDIS.at VPS's could vary. They also offer a 1Gbit Port server in Netherlands.

Conclusion:

Edis.at is also offering one of the cheapest VPS's I have seen on the European Market. It's specially nice, they offer 17 different locations. Their support is superb. If you need a average 100Mbit Line or 1Gbit Line (did not test them), then EDIS.at is a good choice.
